Role Description

The Crisis Response Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and well‑coordinated logistics operations across procurement, supply chain, fleet, warehousing, security support, reporting, and field coordination. The role oversees:

• Procurement planning and supplier management
• Transparent sourcing processes
• Fleet operations and transport planning
• Security protocols affecting logistics
• Leading and developing logistics staff
• Accurate reporting and compliance with donor and organizational standards
• Strong warehouse and inventory controls
• Direct field support while representing logistics interests in coordination forums

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant humanitarian logistics and management experience in emergency contexts; or a Master’s degree plus at least 5 years of experience implementing humanitarian programming.
• Preferred certifications: professional certification or advanced training in logistics and/or supply chain management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Experience working with bilateral and multilateral humanitarian donors, as well as international donor procurement rules.
• Relevant experience in fraud detection and compliance.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong leadership, people‑management, and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Experience utilizing data analytics software and/or AI to support the development of reports and efficient ways of working.

Requirements

• In‑depth knowledge of humanitarian procurement, budgeting, and supply chain management best practices.
• Experience with multiple donor policies and regulations, including contract negotiation, vendor management, and ensuring delivery against specifications.
• Strong understanding of international donor procurement rules and fraud detection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior staff.
• Ability to work under pressure in complex emergency environments.
