[Hiring] Corrections Specialist 4 - Community Victim Liaison @State of Washington

Role Description

We are looking to fill a full-time, non-permanent Corrections Specialist 4 (CS4) - Community Victim Liaison position within the Community Corrections Division (CCD). This position works for the Victim Services Program and will serve the King County area.

This non-permanent (temporary) appointment is expected to last about five months and may allow for teleworking up to three days a week.

• Coordinate interagency safety planning for victims of high-risk individuals.
• Collaborate with Corrections Specialists, Classification Counselors, and Community Corrections Officers in risk assessment processes.
• Consult with staff in the screening of incarcerated individuals for placement in partial confinement.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with victim advocates and community-based service providers.
• Provide training regarding VSP functions and responding to the needs of crime victims.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 10 years’ experience providing direct services to victims of crime.
• OR Associate's degree in a related field and seven years’ experience.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years’ experience.
• OR Master’s degree in a related field and four years' experience.
• Higher education degrees must be from accredited institutions.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Washington.
• Ability to assess safety needs and develop response plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain working partnerships.
• Ability to maintain a balanced, professional approach in emotional situations.
• Skill in leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
