Role Description

We’re looking for a highly motivated actuary to help us manage and grow a portfolio of client relationships. This role is best suited for someone who thrives on being the connective tissue between technical analysis and client decision-making; someone who can own a project end to end, keep multiple workstreams moving at once, and turn complex modeling outputs into a clear, compelling story for a client. This is a place where you can make a real impact, as opposed to getting lost as one more cog in a big machine.

• Act as the primary point of contact for a set of clients.
• Partner with analysts and data scientists to scope and execute actuarial analyses rooted in machine learning.
• Estimate and forecast loyalty program liability, customer lifetime value (CLV), and other key drivers of program economics.
• Understand the analysis well enough to guide it, question it, and defend it in front of a client.
• Comfortable building solutions in ambiguity rather than waiting for one to be handed to you.
• Engagements vary across airline, hotel, retail, gaming, and ticketing loyalty programs.

A typical day includes:

• Fielding quick ad hoc questions and steering multi-week projects.
• Translating a client’s business problem into an actuarial analysis.
• Digging into the outputs of predictive models to sanity-check results.
• Synthesizing results into a clear narrative for clients.
• Presenting to clients directly and adjusting the story based on their needs.
• Engaging in ad hoc work as needed.
• Participating in team standups to keep the remote team organized.
• Shaping how we work and improving client deliverables.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in an actuarial role, ideally with direct client-facing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field.
• Background in actuarial science with a focus on P&C at least Exam 5 (or the equivalent standard reserving exam) passed.
• Demonstrated experience owning client relationships end-to-end — setting expectations, managing scope, and delivering results on tight timelines.
• Ability to connect technical modeling work to a client’s business goals.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to direct and critique AI-generated visuals and decks.
• Solid understanding of the basics of predictive modeling.
• Ability to clearly distill complex, technical concepts into language non-technical audiences can understand.
• Strong communicator, growth mindset, comfortable operating with ambiguity.
• Comfortable and enthusiastic about using AI tools as part of the daily workflow.

Requirements

• ACAS or FCAS designation (bonus points).
• Experience in loyalty, airline, hospitality, retail, or banking industries (bonus points).
• Prior experience in a small or startup-like consulting environment (bonus points).
