[Hiring] Consultant-Technical Support for Child-Friendly Service Spaces @AGORA

Role Description

To support the design and implementation of hard-component interventions, UNICEF requires a qualified technical consultant to undertake facility assessments, carry out community and stakeholder consultations, prepare construction-related documentation, and advise on suitable implementation modalities.

The consultant will deliver the following tasks:

• Site Selection and Assessment (Child Friendly Service Hubs and Schools)
• Community and Stakeholder Consultations
• Development of BoQs and Technical Documentation
• Market Research & Implementation Strategy Review

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in infrastructure assessment, design, or construction supervision.
• Experience working on child-friendly or community spaces, public buildings (schools, clinics, police stations), and small-scale rehabilitation works.
• Strong skills in BoQ preparation, cost estimation, and technical reporting.
• Demonstrated experience conducting community consultations.
• Commitment to UNICEF safeguarding and PSEA standards.

Desirables

• Knowledge of Fiji building standards is an asset.
• Experience with UNICEF or other UN agencies is an advantage.
