Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our general contracting team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will be embedded within our organization, working closely with project management and pre-construction teams to support national bidding and estimation efforts across the United States. You will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and supporting end-to-end bid preparation for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material analysis from construction drawings and specifications
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial bid submissions
  • Review, analyze, and prequalify subcontractor bids to ensure full trade coverage and pricing competitiveness
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and sub-trade partners to obtain complete and up-to-date pricing
  • Support the full bid preparation and submission process
  • Collaborate with project managers during contract review and post-award project setup
  • Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals during the preconstruction phase
  • Use PlanHub and other estimating platforms to manage bidding workflows and subcontractor outreach
  • Assist project management teams across the project lifecycle as needed

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in construction estimating (flexible based on overall background)
  • Experience in general contracting or multi-trade commercial bidding
  • Strong understanding of construction pricing, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience with national chain construction standards and repeat-project pricing models
  • Familiarity with regional market pricing, especially Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with project management functions
  • Proficiency in PlanHub and/or PlanSwift estimating software
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
