[Hiring] Complex Catastrophe Claims Manager @Mercury Insurance Services, LLC

Role Description

Mercury Insurance’s Complex Catastrophe Claims Manager leads the response to claims that require our highest level of expertise, coordination, and care. This role supports policyholders and communities after severe events such as extensive wildfires, major hurricanes, tornadoes, and other large-scale catastrophes.

• Lead a geographically dispersed Complex Catastrophe Response Team responsible for high-severity property claims and surge operations.
• Set the direction for complex claim handling and guide high-severity claim decisions.
• Coordinate resources across multiple functions to ensure clear communication, timely decisions, and thoughtful support for customers.
• Strengthen organizational capacity and coordinate response across various departments including Claims, Operations, Legal, Underwriting, Finance, Technology, and Communications.
• Plan and run Mega CAT scenarios, develop and maintain catastrophe-response protocols, and improve readiness.
• Partner with senior leaders and teams across multiple business areas.
• Utilize digital tools, operational dashboards, analytics, and emerging capabilities to enhance decision-making and response coordination.
• Position is remote with regular field travel and CAT deployments, requiring extended hours during active events.
