[Hiring] Community Outreach Representative @WVU Medicine

Role Description

Peak Health is a new, growing Medicare Advantage plan in West Virginia. The Community Outreach Representative (COR) is the trusted member in the field representing Peak Health within our communities. The COR will:

• Build trusting relationships and be a resource for Peak Health Medicare programs.
• Create lead opportunities that gain successful acquisition/retention outcomes.
• Ensure locations are being scheduled to meet monthly goals.
• Play a crucial role within the community along with partnerships both internally and externally.
• Help establish the relationships and results that drive our growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare, business, marketing or related field AND two (2) years of experience related to Medicare Advantage OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years of experience related to Medicare Advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• WV State Health Insurance License in good standing (preferred).
• Two (2) years in a Medicare Experience (both Medicare Advantage and DSNP) space working with strong relationships with the Medicare industry.
• DSNP (Dual Special Needs) experience (preferred).

Requirements

• Develop and maintain favorable relationships with surrounding community organizations.
• Plan and facilitate outreach activities, special events, and presentations to generate quality sales leads.
• Coordinate event logistics including reserving space, communication, and distributing materials.
• Build relationships with community influencers and gatekeepers.
• Ensure market comprehension and adherence to Medicare marketing guidelines and compliance regulations.
• Assist Sales/Production Lead with programs around Sales & Retention.
• Deliver Medicare educational presentations at community events.
• Work with provider groups for co-op marketing.
• Track results and ROI on local marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve intended results.
• Work closely with Director of Medicare around Sales and Retention programs.
• Determine type of event as defined by CMS and file events appropriately with CMS.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods of time.

Working Environment

• Standard office environment.
• Travel within WV primarily required to offsite meetings along with coverage in PA state.

• Knowledge of regulations governing Medicare Advantage and DSNP sales.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and understanding of the Medicare Advantage sales process.
• Strong attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous process improvements.
• Extremely fast learner with knowledge of the Medicare industry and DSNP population.
