[Hiring] Community Liaison Advisor @Save the Children US

Role Description

As the Community Liaison Advisor, you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future in Hawai‘i. You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the community engagement activities of the Community-based Early Childhood Continuums Initiative in target communities across the state.

• Strengthening early childhood-focused community partnerships, which could include:
  • Developing community infrastructure for continuous program improvement
  • Supporting local working groups
  • Mapping early childhood programming
  • Developing results-oriented programmatic blueprints
  • Building community capacity through advocacy, targeted outreach, training, and technical assistance
• Providing technical assistance to a team of Community-based Facilitators
• Building strategic relationships across the early childhood and education sectors
• Conducting landscape assessments and engaging communities through culturally grounded approaches
• Monitoring policy developments to inform feasibility and program fit
• Executing the organization’s strategic business plan if expansion is determined

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in the early childhood and/or education sectors in Hawai‘i with established network of partnerships
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
• Demonstrated ability to convey a clear understanding of issues related to poverty in rural communities
• Willingness and ability to travel within the state up to 30% of the time
• Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Requirements

• This position may require the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle to fulfill certain essential functions of the job
• The incumbent should maintain a valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with any Save the Children policies pertaining to the safe operation of motor vehicles
