[Hiring] Commercial Physical Damage Field Adjuster @GEICO

Role Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our Commercial Physical Damage Adjuster team. As an ambassador for GEICO's renowned customer service, you will work in a dynamic environment that may include:

• Repair shops
• Salvage yards
• A customer's home
• Virtual estimating environment

You will be responsible for:

• Inspecting commercial damage
• Estimating cost of repairs
• Preparing total loss evaluations
• Negotiating settlements
• Issuing payments
• Providing excellent customer service

This position primarily will include servicing commercial claims such as:

• Contractor vehicles
• Heavy equipment, such as semi-trucks
• Other specialty claims

Our industry-leading, paid training includes:

• 2-weeks of required hands-on experience at our Ashburn, VA training facility
• Resources and training to assist customers after accidents or major disasters

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Commercial Physical Damage Claims Appraising
• Must attain and maintain the required licenses issued by state insurance departments
• Valid driver’s license (must meet company underwriting guidelines for at least the past 3 consecutive years)
• Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits
• Strong computer, mechanical aptitude, and multi-tasking skills
• Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree or currently pursuing preferred
