Role Description

The Collections Specialist is a high-autonomy, tech-enabled professional who manages a portfolio of accounts using advanced digital tools, analytics, and multichannel communication. This role requires strong judgement, compliance mastery, and the ability to drive recovery outcomes with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management — Manage assigned accounts proactively, using data insights to prioritize outreach and maximize recovery.
• Advanced Negotiation — Apply sophisticated negotiation strategies to resolve complex cases and reduce escalations.
• Omnichannel Knowledge — Communicate seamlessly across voice. Clearly understands the impact of digital channels in the collections environment.
• Tech-Enabled Problem Solving — Use AI assistants, CRM tools, predictive analytics, and automated workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Compliance Mastery — Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements confidently; serve as a resource for peers.
• Data Interpretation — Analyze performance dashboards, identify trends, and adjust strategies to improve recovery rates.
• Continuous Improvement — Provide feedback on scripts, workflows, and digital tools; support pilots and new client on-boarding.
• Customer Experience Leadership — Deliver trust-building interactions that balance empathy, compliance, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of collections experience in first, third party, healthcare, etc.
• Proven success managing complex accounts with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and AI-supported workflows.
• Deep understanding of federal and state compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers or support team-level performance improvements.
