Role Description

In conjunction with other Information Technology staff, documents, configures, tests, and implements new and existing computer systems. Provides clinical practice knowledge and experience to system design teams. Translates user requests into system designs, utilizing knowledge of the nursing, patient care, provider, and ancillary department and physician processes.

• Provides technical and clinical input to a number of small project teams.
• Coordinates work plans and activities, data collection, and issue identification and/or resolution.
• Scope of responsibility may include several individual departments and projects of moderate complexity.
• Primary area of concentration is on clinical systems and the workflow inherent to them.
• Participates in all quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Complies with all appropriate patient safety and infection control standards.
• Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Medical Center's Courtesy Performance Standards.
• Job assignments may be appropriate for partial remote work.
• May require on call duties.
• Works under the supervision of a departmental director or designee who reviews work for effectiveness and compliance with established standards.
• May provide limited direction to a small number of employees in information technology.
