Role Description

In this role, you will…

• Confirm coverage and manage claims and suits brought against policyholders.
• Interpret, analyze, and resolve coverage issues.
• Select and appoint legal counsel.
• Manage litigation with outside counsel and policyholders.
• Manage litigation costs, incl. fees and expenses.
• Post timely and accurate Loss and ALE reserves.
• Resolve cases via dismissal, settlement or trial.
• Negotiate case resolutions.
• Provide service to insureds and assist in sales and account retention efforts.
• Perform other activities required of a claims professional.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of claim experience with senior care/long term care professional liability and general liability claims. Multi-state experience preferred.
• J.D. (preferred), but will consider a Bachelor's degree if the candidate possesses other, pertinent industry experience.
• Strong negotiating skills.

The annual gross base salary range is $85,000 to $150,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies. Salary is one component of MedPro’s total compensation and benefits package.
