[Hiring] Chief Technology Officer @MVB Bank

Role Description

The Chief Technology Officer contributes to the vision, strategic planning, and leadership of MVB's technology organization, partnering closely with the bank's AI, Data, and Automation leadership to advance the architecture, security, and modernization of the systems that power both MVB's traditional banking operations and its Fintech-as-a-Service platform.

• Defines and supports execution of a technology modernization strategy.
• Operates as both a strategic leader and a hands-on technical contributor.
• Oversees the comprehensive technical architecture that supports partnerships, origination, servicing, and operations.
• Directly leads the Vice President of Enterprise Product Enablement and the Vice President of IT Operations.
• Partners with Information Security, AI and Data Governance, and Risk to maintain compliance with the evolving regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15+ years of applicable technology leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide technology modernization efforts.
• Hands-on technical background with the ability to engage directly in architecture, security, and platform decisions.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or a highly regulated industry.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop technology staff and teams.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Direct experience with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), embedded finance, payments, or card issuance platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern information systems technology.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting Fintech partnerships or a Fintech-facing technology platform in a regulated environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven operational efficiency tools (preferred).
