Role Description

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) within AMD’s Partner Support organization, focused on supporting OEM, ODM, and GSI partners as they define, develop, and deploy new platforms based on AMD technology. This is a field-focused role supporting global datacenter customers and partners, with an emphasis on new product introduction, system-level debug, and solution validation involving CPUs, GPUs, and associated development tools.

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical guidance across the full hardware and software stack, including large-scale deployments in datacenter environments.
• Reproduce complex issues, drive root cause analysis, and collaborate with AMD engineering teams to resolve customer challenges.
• Act as a trusted advisor and an extension of partner engineering teams, supporting joint development efforts and go-to-market initiatives.
• Develop proof-of-concepts, deliver demonstrations, and build benchmarking frameworks to highlight AMD platform capabilities.
• Support partner enablement, provide feedback to internal product teams, and deliver technical and executive-level presentations to drive successful customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Lead customer- and partner-facing technical engagements, serving as a trusted advisor.
• Debug complex system-level issues across hardware and software stacks in datacenter environments.
• Reproduce customer issues and develop test harnesses to collect low-level debug data.
• Drive root cause analysis in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
• Develop and deliver proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and benchmarking frameworks.
• Advise partners on system architecture, deployment strategies, and performance optimization.
• Coordinate cross-functional debug efforts and communicate status across internal teams.
• Develop tools, scripts, and experimental frameworks to accelerate debug and validation.
• Support OEM, ODM, and GSI partners with technical enablement, validation, and joint go-to-market activities.
• Deliver technical and executive-level presentations translating complex topics into business value.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
