Role Description

The Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) supports organizations pursuing Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) by assisting with:

• Assessment readiness
• Control implementation guidance
• Evidence validation
• Assessment activities under the direction of a Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) or CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO)

The CCP plays a critical role in ensuring organizations understand and properly implement CMMC requirements, particularly those aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and NIST SP 800-172, while maintaining strict adherence to CMMC Code of Professional Conduct and assessment integrity requirements established by Cyber AB.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and governance concepts
• Ability to interpret regulatory and technical requirements clearly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with assessors, engineers, and client stakeholders

Requirements

• Active Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) certification issued by the Cyber AB
• Must remain in good standing with the Cyber AB
• Experience supporting cybersecurity or compliance assessments, audits, or readiness efforts
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 security requirements
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity compliance environments
• Experience working with documentation-heavy compliance programs preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting CMMC Level 2 or Level 3 readiness or assessments
• Prior work with Department of Defense (DoD) contractors
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, DFARS)
• Interest in progressing toward Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) certification
