[Hiring] Buyer/Procurement Analyst @soteria

Role Description

Develops subcontract specifications for long term agreements for the procurement of specialized materials.

• Assist with the preparation of bid packages, bidders' lists and conferences.
• Analyze and evaluate proposals.
• Attend negotiations and recommend subcontractors.
• Compile and analyze statistical data to help determine feasibility of buying products and to help establish price objectives.
• Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
• Confer with suppliers and learn to analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices.
• Determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
• Review proposals, negotiate prices, recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up orders placed, verify delivery, and maintain necessary records.
• May prepare bid packages.
• Work with many internal and external departments and customers.
• Position will require strong data analytic skills as well as strong Excel abilities.
