Role Description

The Business Systems Analyst is critical to helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners, and technology team.

This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and participate in requirements elicitation and apply a combination of business and technical knowledge to solve business problems with cost-effective technical solutions.
• Work directly with business clients, PMO and technical staff to analyze Business Requirements and create clear & concise Business and/or Functional Specifications according to standards and best practices.
• Analyze and document current and future processes/systems and deliver documentation for the effective implementation of stated processes.
• Possess complete understanding of the ecosystem surrounding requirements, upstream and downstream impacts.
• Use creative problem-solving skills to remove barriers and effective communication skills to keep all parties informed regarding status.
• Develop and/or enhance a working knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare Healthcare Managed Care Activities: Marketing, Member Services, Health Services, Claims, Enrollment, Provider Relations, Finance, Vendor relationships and any other functional area in order to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Work effectively both as a member of a team and independently; establish good judgment regarding routine, significant, and sensitive matters.
• Promote adherence to the System Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) + years of experience in business and functional requirements gathering, workflow documentation, etc.
• Experience in managed care required; possess solid understanding of the industry; high-level understanding of business applications; sound understanding of organizational and process development.
• Experience with MS Office products, including Visio.
• Working knowledge of complete SDLC required.
