Role Description

Systems Requirements and Acceptance Testing

• Perform systems analysis, develop requirements documentation, and create and conduct customer acceptance tests for all components of the PTR system (more than 45 separate interfaces and components).
• Analyze new business requirements or changes to existing requirements and generate test data for the following areas:
  • Retail and Commercial Mailer systems
  • PTR
  • Extra Services
  • Mailing Services
  • Confirm Services
  • Ground Shipping
  • Expedited Services
  • Scanners
  • Global Business
  • Business Mail Entry and Payment Technology
  • Operations and Engineering
  • Web (internet, intranet, Web Tools, Click-N-Ship)
  • Call Center / IVR
  • EDW and PTR Reports
  • Same Day and Delivery Day Specific Products
  • MyPO
• Gather business needs documentation from business owners throughout the US Government Client organization.
• Develop requirements documentation for each required change according to established standards.
• Develop a customer acceptance test plan for each itemized requirement, including specifying detailed test data regarding input and expected output, according to established standards.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and design solutions.
• Review system test materials for tests conducted by the Information Technology group.
• Conduct acceptance tests on premises, using various systems and applications as appropriate.
• Produce detailed documentation regarding test results according to standards provided by US Government Client.
• Develop requirements development status reports and test schedules according to standards.
• Analyze and document PTR business logic, including database and processing rules, and update documentation as new requirements are developed.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain documentation for products and services connected to Confirmation and Extra Services.
• Analyze current PTR processes and provide input regarding improvements and changes.
• Perform ad-hoc research and analysis using provided applications and tools.
• Participate in and review database design and data modeling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 13 years' experience, in technology or software development preferred.
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
• Typically performs all functional duties independently.
• Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.

Requirements

• All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e., collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.

  • The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
  • Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.
