Level 3 - Sr Business Consultant: $120,000 - $145,000

What you will be doing:

The Business Consultant – Finance role involves analyzing financial data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. The consultant collaborates with key stakeholders to implement best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and support decision-making through data-driven insights. Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly are essential for success in this role.

Business Consultant

• Gather and analyze financial data, market trends, and client information to support senior team members.
• Create financial models and assist with forecasting to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, presentations, and other deliverables for clients.
• Support the implementation of business plans and process improvements as directed by a supervising consultant.
• Conduct research on specific financial topics, regulations, and potential solutions to client challenges
• Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information for various customers as needed for decision making support.
• Challenge existing processes and streamline or develop new ones where appropriate to facilitate future growth of the business while driving value throughout the organization.
• Analyze changes in manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on costs. Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing.
• Deliver billable consulting services in finance.

Senior Business Consultant

• Lead client engagements, architecting strategies, and guiding large-scale financial transformation efforts.
• Deliver complex financial analyses and provide creative, strategic solutions to support financial initiatives and targets.
• Advise senior leaders on key financial topics, risk management, and process optimization.
• Review client deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

Business Consultant

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related discipline or relevant 5-10 years of consulting experience.
• Ability to clearly present financial analysis and insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Deep expertise in core finance functions including:
  • Cost Accounting and Product Costing
  • Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Cash Flow Planning and Management
  • Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) Analysis
  • General Ledger (GL) Management
• Proficiency in financial reporting: including preparation and analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Foreign Exchange Analysis, and Financial Consolidation
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Senior Business Consultant

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related discipline or relevant 10-20 years of consulting experience.
• Deep financial and operational understanding of business models and financial performance drivers.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with peers, clients, and executives.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing projects and client engagements

Preferred Education and Experience:

Business Consultant

• Experience with QAD Adaptive ERP or QAD Cloud ERP.
• Vertical expertise in Life Science, Automotive, Electronics, CPG and or Food & Beverage desired
• Familiarity with integration tools and reporting platforms (e.g., QXtend, QAD EE, QAD BI).
• Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, cGMP, GDP, CCSP, APICS, 21 CFR Part 11 Validation, etc. strongly desired.

Senior Business Consultant

• See Preferred Experience for Business Consultant, plus:
• Prior hands-on experience in a senior finance role, such as Controller, VP of Finance, etc.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, Regular Business hours, with some afterhours work as business needs require.

Travel:

Some travel is expected for this position. Approximately 20%- 50%
