Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in business administration, management, marketing, business intelligence, e-commerce, business ethics, academic assessment design, question authoring, and structured business content review. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on high-quality business assessment development, multiple-choice question writing, academic content verification, reference solution review, and rigorous business reasoning evaluation. Selected professionals will apply their business and commerce expertise to author, review, and validate challenging assessment materials across core business domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Question Authoring
  • Create original, challenging multiple-choice questions across core business and commerce domains.
  • Design questions that test deep conceptual understanding, business reasoning, management judgment, marketing analysis, and applied commercial thinking.
  • Ensure each question is precise, self-contained, unambiguous, and answerable based on the information provided.
  • Develop plausible answer choices that challenge advanced learners and expert reviewers.
• Reasoning, Solution Writing & Difficulty Calibration
  • Write clear reference solutions in structured markdown format.
  • Rate question difficulty across levels such as introductory undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, or postgraduate-level expertise.
  • Provide academic references from reputable sources such as peer-reviewed journals, university materials, or recognized business resources.
  • Ensure solutions are accurate, concise, conceptually sound, and aligned with the intended business concept.
• Question Verification & Academic Review
  • Review pre-written business questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability.
  • Flag issues involving ambiguity, missing context, weak distractors, unclear wording, or incorrect answer logic.
  • Edit questions where needed and document the rationale for changes.
  • Maintain high standards for academic precision, business relevance, and assessment reliability.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in business administration, management, marketing, business intelligence, public relations, e-commerce, business ethics, organizational theory, strategy, or related fields.
• Strong command of graduate-level business concepts, quantitative methods, organizational analysis, and commercial reasoning.
• Experience authoring, reviewing, teaching, grading, or verifying academic assessment content.
• Ability to express complex business concepts clearly and concisely in written English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle conceptual, analytical, or reasoning issues.
• Comfort working independently on asynchronous academic review tasks.

Educational Background

• PhD, DBA, or doctoral candidacy in business administration, management, marketing, commerce, organizational studies, or a closely related field is highly relevant.
• MBA or master's degree may be suitable for candidates with exceptional depth in a specific business subdomain.
• Equivalent experience in advanced research, teaching, industry leadership, academic writing, assessment design, or scholarly review may also be valuable.

Nice to Have

• Research publications, university teaching experience, industry leadership experience, consulting experience, or academic assessment background.
• Familiarity with business intelligence, management theory, marketing, public relations, e-commerce, business ethics, strategy, organizational behavior, or quantitative business methods.
• Experience preparing or reviewing exam questions, benchmark tasks, academic rubrics, reference solutions, or business case-style materials.
• Strong comfort with markdown formatting, academic references, business terminology, and structured review workflows.
• Availability for approximately 10+ hours per week depending on project needs.
