Role Description
The Business Architect plays a critical role in aligning business and technology at a foundation level. This position is responsible for creating the current state and future state business process maps to identify high-level requirements and establishing a common scope understanding with our implementation partner.
- Design future-state processes that enhance operational efficiency and support business strategy.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, governance frameworks and standards.
- Capture the relationship and shared data among roles, capabilities, and business units.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and the Enterprise Architect to analyze options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within existing business processes.
- Conduct impact assessments for process changes and recommend effective implementation strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven in-depth knowledge of insurance products or equivalent with a Preneed preference.
- Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
- Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
- Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Graduate Degree / MBA and Business Architect Certification.
- Minimum: At least 7 years of hands-on business analysis in large scale and complex integration environments with a minimum of 5 years business operations experience.
- Minimum: Three years of Management experience in one or more of the following areas: business transformation and optimization, strategic planning, leadership, business relationship management, management consulting, and business process management.
