Role Description

A day in the life of a Litigation Bodily Injury Adjuster, and what it takes to do the job:

• Investigating automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles, resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved.
• Working remotely from home while efficiently handling responsibilities.
• Assessing coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service.
• Communicating with customers and attorneys through voice calls, email, and text messages.
• Engaging in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with all parties involved.

You'll wear a few hats that will require a level of experience:

• The Customer Service Expert: Living into Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, leading with empathy.
• The Investigator: Confidently and independently investigating casualty claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
• The Effective Communicator: Using phone, emails, and sometimes video chat to help customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process.
• The Negotiator: Evaluating and negotiating claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers, and claimants.
• The Problem Solver: Utilizing multiple tools in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools and job aids.
• The Recorder: Protecting the company financially by executing policies and keeping a clear record of work in a claims system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Florida Represented 3rd party Bodily Injury claim handling experience.
• Experience managing severe, complex, and litigated Bodily Injury claims.
• Knowledge of Florida tort reform.
• Florida 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License (Property & Casualty).
• Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently.
• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation.

Requirements

• This position is a permanent remote home-based role; your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it must be in the United States.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm EST.
• A home office that is private and free from distractions.
• A minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up.
• Appropriate work surface and seating.
