Role Description
Study participants are needed to evaluate audio prompts with the aim of improving virtual keyboard technology in various under-represented languages. The participants’ submission and feedback will aid in pushing technological development in their native language.
- Adjust device settings to match study requirements
- Speak approximately 30 prompts into the keyboard app
- Type out the keyboard output
- Answer questions on how well the keyboard captures the prompts
- Temporarily download a specific version of the keyboard app onto your phone
- Log in and use an account provided to you by project management
- Provide feedback via form outside the keyboard app
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak in the language associated with the study
- Ability to read and write in English (preferred)
- Possess a mid-to-high-end Android device (i.e. Pixel 6+, Samsung S21+, etc.)
- Minimum Android version: 12
Requirements
- Compensation for this study is a one-time payment to be provided upon successful completion and review of the participant’s submission and feedback.
- Project completion and feedback: $25
- Payment method: Grey or Tremendous payment platforms, dependent on geographic location
- Estimated time commitment: 60-120 minutes
- Please note that the pay rate is in US dollars and payment will be made in US dollars. The amount received in local currency will vary according to exchange rates.
