[Hiring] Azure Cloud Architect @Sodexo

Role Description

To boost sustainable business growth and enhance its services, Sodexo has embarked on an Azure public cloud transformation. The transformation goal is to modernize the infrastructure platforms and enterprise applications utilizing Azure cloud services and technologies. Under this program, the cloud team will ensure a strong alignment and collaboration between the Business and IS&T teams key stakeholders.

Interested in joining the team? We are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect to join a dedicated team of Cloud Architects within the North American (NORAM) Team.

• Architect, design, develop, and troubleshoot cloud solutions across a hybrid cloud platform.
• Work closely with the Global Teams (Infrastructure, Security, Network, Enterprise, Application & Data) to ensure the platform/product designed and deployed are secure and compliant with Sodexo Standards and global cloud program strategy.
• Effectively interface with Application Sponsors and Owners at varying organizational levels.
• This is a Remote Role with the preferred candidate residing in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

Qualifications

• Required skills in Cloud Architecture around Azure (Ability to design and implement cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications).
• Minimum Azure architect certification - AZ 305 or equivalent: Microsoft Certified Azure solutions Architect.
• 5 years’ experience in Azure architecture role (IaaS, PaaS, and integrations).
• 10 years’ experience in cloud architecture role.
• 10 years’ experience as a Windows Server, Linux, and Azure Portal Administration.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps in Scrum or Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of various complex IT ecosystems in addition to cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of IT Management (ITIL) processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems effectively.
• A sense of flexibility to new technologies.

Requirements

• Check and analyze the technical impacts of new solutions and their integration within the existing ecosystem.
• Design the technical architecture with a focus on user experience, scalability, standardization, costs, and security.
• Accurately scope multiple concurrent project requirements and meet delivery timelines.
• Understand delivery requirements, identify process and knowledge gaps, and work to bridge them.
• Clearly understand business and technology dependencies and collaboratively work with cross-functional teams to assist in delivering solutions in a timely manner.
• Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Participate in the impact assessment on existing or planned infrastructure for all new projects or technologies.
• Recommend technical solutions based on Sodexo Global Standards to maintain consistency throughout this period of change.
• Advise on the use and possible implementations of Cloud Platforms within the Sodexo ecosystem.
• Manage architectural choices and orientations while keeping alignment with the Global standards.
• Have a strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (servers, Virtualization, storage, network data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs using modern capabilities such as PaaS.
• Have knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Interact with the entire ecosystem of the Cloud Competency Centers across Regions.
• Work in a team with architects from other fields (Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Security Architects, Network Architects, Application Architects).
• Manage partner relationships and development efforts across multiple teams and areas of responsibility.
• Promote the architectural standards defined by the Global Cloud Competency Center and ensure alignment with Global Enterprise Architecture guidance & principles.
