Role Description

Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition. Responsible for training, mentoring, controlling quality and providing technical assistance on material damage claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of body shop, collision repair, or automotive repair experience with strong vehicle knowledge.
• Ability to assess vehicle damage and communicate repair recommendations effectively with customers and repair facilities.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage an independent schedule, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a field-based environment.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Claims experience and CCC ONE proficiency are preferred but not required.

Requirements

• This is a remote, field-based position supporting the Wilmington, NC market, including New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Duplin counties. Candidates must reside within or near the assigned territory.
• Regular local travel is required to inspect vehicles, meet with customers, and work with repair facilities and body shops.
• Willingness to travel as needed in support of CAT response efforts and increased claim volume.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 26.49 - 39.98 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
