Role Description

ADTRAV is seeking an Associate Manager After Hours Operations to assist the manager in motivating and supervising Travel Consultants and resolve minor issues from clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of agents who book travel requests on behalf of clients.
  • Assisting the manager with the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Overseeing all itineraries by verifying reservations and reviewing travel authorizations.
  • Researching agent and client issues promptly and providing information to the manager.
  • Monitoring call volume to ensure agents are available to service clients.
  • Assisting with payroll preparation activities, including reviewing time off requests and time punches.
  • Providing coaching and training to agents on servicing travelers and company policies.
  • Reviewing turnover transaction rates and errors/write-offs with the manager.
  • Monitoring pre/post trip reporting.
  • Utilizing various applications, including GDS and online booking tools.
  • Identifying process and workflow efficiencies and providing recommendations to management.
  • Assisting travelers and booking itineraries as needed.
  • Understanding ADTRAV products, systems, and processes to assist agents and clients.
  • Participating in ongoing training to continuously build knowledge and skills in the industry.
  • Representing ADTRAV by embracing company values and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of travel consultant/travel agent experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Experience booking travel for corporate clients required; experience booking travel for government clients preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Sabre GDS required; knowledge of Amadeus a plus.
  • Experience as a team lead or mentor required.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Fly America, Open Skies, and federal travel regulations.
  • Experience booking international travel with geographical and rate structures.
  • Strong computer and typing skills, including the ability to navigate quickly between programs.
  • Demonstrated experience learning and using technology and multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Highly proficient in business writing with proper grammar and spelling.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, while being open to feedback.
  • Exhibits leadership traits to motivate and provide feedback.
  • Exercises discretion and judgment when providing guidance and training.
  • Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work remotely and meet home-office requirements.
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Able to work an after-hours schedule that includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background check.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to show proof upon hire.
  • Able to successfully pass a government clearance process as required by clients.

Requirements

  • The salary range for this position is $60,000-65,000 a year, based on experience.
