Role Description

The Stronger Change Office seeks a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Associate Director, Stronger Business Innovation & Sustainability. This job reports to the Senior Director, Stronger Operations and Business. This is a dynamic, project-based role that will evolve based on the needs and priorities collectively identified by Stronger affiliates. This position is expected to promote inclusion and belonging as core values of PPFA and work with others in a culturally informed way.

The Associate Director, Stronger Business Innovation & Sustainability provides strategic business operations and project management leadership to Stronger’s financial sustainability and innovation opportunities work. This role will lead the execution of high-impact partnerships with affiliates, mission-aligned innovators (e.g. start-ups, FemTech companies, etc.), and external vendors to drive program sustainability. The role requires an entrepreneurial and analytical individual capable of independently driving complex workstreams, from pilot development and commercial structuring to landscape scanning and financial analysis, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Stronger’s business model innovation activities supporting long-term sustainability of PPFA affiliates.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in management consulting, healthcare advisory, or corporate strategy.
• Deep experience within the US domestic healthcare ecosystem (e.g., payers, public health networks, digital health/FemTech spaces).
• At least 6 years of progressive professional experience in complex program management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPA, MPH, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in the U.S. healthcare ecosystem required.
• Familiarity with the healthcare innovation landscape, start-up ecosystems, or sectors like FemTech required.
• Deep knowledge of project management lifecycles, risk identification, and methodologies.
• Strong oral and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• High proficiency with Google products; experience with Asana or other project management tools preferred.
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to different racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• A deep commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission of promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Requirements

• Own and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between affiliate capacity and strategic program goals.
• Drive project-based work across workstreams focused on affiliate sustainability.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-priority projects.
• Drive financial sustainability efforts through rigorous business assessments, market research, and financial modeling.
• Engage affiliates to co-design new, revenue-generating partnerships.
• Manage the development and execution of Stronger’s portfolio of business innovation and sustainability projects.
• Coordinate the development of revenue-shared partnerships.
• Advise and partner with affiliates to evaluate readiness for new business opportunities.
• Communicate program impact and business cases through collaborative data collection.
• Develop, adapt, and share tools, best practices, and resources through a centralized database.
• Develop, maintain, and improve business assessment dashboards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Salary range: $105,000 - $110,000 a year.
• 10-20% domestic travel.
