Role Description

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The position is for a Music & Lyrics Expert - Arabic, on a contract basis, with compensation ranging from $17 to $34 per hour. The role is remote, lasting up to 6 months, with a commitment of 20+ hours per week.

• Evaluate AI-generated music across genres and rate against quality standards.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Assess whether lyrics sound natural, focusing on word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and ability to follow detailed instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Arabic music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Requirements

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition (preferred).
• Credited or published songwriting work (preferred).
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Arabic genres, sub-genres, and artists (preferred).
