[Hiring] Arabic Audio Annotation Analyst @Welo Data

Role Description

Welo Data is looking for careful listeners and skilled transcribers to join an AI training data project for one of the world's leading voice AI platforms. Your work will directly improve how the platform understands Arabic dialect.

• Listen to short audio clips and transcribe exactly what was said.
• Follow a clear, well-documented style guide for punctuation, formatting, and audio flags.
• Flag clips with background noise, cut-off speech, or unclear audio using simple codes.
• Work at your own pace — just keep an average of ~125 seconds per task.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in target locale - Arabic.
• Strong written language skills, including awareness of punctuation and sentence structure.
• Reliable computer, high-quality headphones, and stable internet connection.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to apply structured guidelines consistently.
• Prior experience in transcription, data annotation, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to commit to 10-12 hours per week for the full 6-week project duration.

Requirements

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 3 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
• Commitment: 10-20 hours per week for up to 6 weeks.
• Location: Egypt.
• Language: Arabic.
• Pay Rate: $9.00/hour.
