Role Description
We are an AI-driven startup pioneering the development of a universal foundation model for biology. Our mission is to revolutionize biological research and innovation through cutting-edge technology. As an early member of this forward-thinking team, you will play a pivotal role in operational excellence, helping us design and execute the company of the future.
As an Operations Generalist, you will work closely with the COO to support key business functions, including, but not limited to:
- HR
- Operations & Strategy
- Regulatory and Board and Investor Communications
This role is ideal for a mid-level professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a knack for identifying inefficiencies and designing automated solutions, including agentic AI processes, to streamline administrative tasks.
You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, building robust processes, and ensuring the company executes to the highest standards. You will be happy working on the day-to-day administrative tasks that need to get done, but also contributing to larger strategic initiatives and direction of the company.
The person will have the opportunity to move into a functional specialism as the business grows. The role will report into the COO.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years in an operational, consulting, or similar role, ideally in a high-growth startup or technology environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Data Science). Advanced degrees are a plus
Requirements
- Proven ability to operate effectively across multiple functions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- A sharp, analytical thinker who can break down complex problems and design elegant solutions
- Experience with designing and implementing AI-driven processes and tools to automate workflows
- A self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Comfortable working with tools and technologies that support process automation (e.g., AI tools, workflow automation platforms, data analytics tools)
