Role Description

The Advanced Workflow Specialist – Electron Microscopy Sample Preparation (d/f/m) plays a key customer-facing role within the EMEA Business Development team. The position supports pre-sales and post-sales activities by delivering expert application knowledge, demonstrations, trainings, and workflow optimization for electron microscopy sample preparation solutions.

• Deliver pre-sales and post-sales application support, including on-site and virtual demonstrations, customer trainings, and workflow optimization.
• Plan, execute, and support customer workshops, seminars, and advanced application sessions focused on electron microscopy sample preparation workflows.
• Support marketing initiatives through scientific content contributions for webinars, conferences, workshops, and promotional materials.
• Develop and contribute to application data, success stories, and reference workflows that support the commercial organization.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of customer activities, demos, and trainings in CRM systems (e.g., SFDC).

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Life Sciences, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with electron microscopy (EM) sample preparation techniques (e.g., cryo-EM workflows, Correlative Lights and Electron Microscopy (CLEM) workflows, ultramicrotomy, coating, freeze-fracture).
• Experience with light microscopy workflows is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English (technical and conversational); additional European languages, particularly German, are an advantage.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel frequently across the EMEA region.
• Ability to travel up to 40–50% within EMEA, including overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in laboratory and customer environments and handle standard demonstration equipment.

Benefits

• For this position, a minimum gross annual salary of € 75 000 (based on full-time employment) is stipulated.
• The actual remuneration depends on qualifications and professional experience and may significantly exceed the minimum salary.
