Role Description

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office Child and Family Protection Division/Appeals Section is seeking an Administrative Assistant I. The position will provide administrative support to Staff Leadership, Assistant Attorney's General, and legal support staff under the direction of their supervisor. The position will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including:

• Picking up and distributing the section's mail
• Filing
• Timely scanning and dissemination of information to the appropriate staff
• Copying
• Data entry into the case management system Legal Files
• Routine correspondence and reports
• Organizing and maintaining data related to case assignments
• Validating data, calendars, and contacting legal entities for confidential legal documents
• Meeting deadlines and assignments

Regular attendance is required in this position. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of administration
• Ability to apply administrative operations under limited supervision and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to analyze and resolve average to difficult problems
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to plan, analyze a variety of activities, and establish appropriate priorities

Requirements

• Travel may be required for this position
• A valid Arizona Driver’s License is required
• Consent to have your driving record run periodically
• Fingerprinting and criminal background check through State and Federal agencies are required
• All newly hired State employees must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
