Role Description

The Full Time Admin - Insurance/AR Specialist ensures accurate insurance verification, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle operations that strengthen financial performance, improve patient access, and support sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of college or possess equivalent work experience
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in administrative support, medical billing, insurance, or accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs
• Proficiency in electronic billing systems and practice management software
• Strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Positive, patient, and professional approach to customer service
• Knowledge of insurance policies, medical billing procedures, and ICD-10/CPT coding standards is an advantage

Requirements

• Communicate with patients, insurance providers, and internal team members regarding referrals, billing, claims, treatment authorizations, payment plans, and outstanding balances.
• Manage and organize incoming patient referrals and parent verification forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Process billing transactions, maintain accurate records, and update third-party billing and practice management systems.
• Prepare and submit insurance billing, perform insurance reconciliation, and request treatment authorizations.
• Monitor outstanding claims, follow up on reimbursements, and investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims.
• Record and process patient payments, including credit card transactions.
• Coordinate with administrative and clinical teams to secure insurance funding for ABA therapy services.
• Calculate patient financial responsibility based on insurance payments and contractual adjustments.
• Generate, distribute, and track accurate patient invoices while maintaining billing records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial and medical information.
