Role Description

In collaboration with key business and technology stakeholders, this pivotal role is responsible for conceiving and executing Artificial Intelligence and advanced technology vision across Zebra's Asset Visibility Solutions (AVS) Business Unit.

• Drive Data and AI innovation in print technologies, RFID encoding, intelligent supplies, advanced sensors, and next-generation data capture solutions.
• Build and guide a world-class team to embed Data and AI and advanced solutions directly into our products.
• Lead and architect the future AVS offerings, evolving from a provider of best-in-class devices to a creator of a seamlessly integrated ecosystem.
• Reshape our business to offer insights and workflow improvements to customers across various verticals including retail, manufacturing, T&L, warehousing, and healthcare.
• Blend of technologist, strategist, and change agent with a proven history of leading large-scale transformations.

• Define, implement, and own the strategic vision for AI and advanced development.
• Lead the strategy at the intersection of business and technology, identifying market opportunities for AI.
• Direct a multi-disciplinary team of AI researchers and engineers.
• Champion a culture of innovation and implementation.
• Partner with executive leadership and business unit GMs to build compelling business cases.
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative environment.
• Drive intellectual property creation through patent disclosures.
• Act as the company's lead external evangelist for AI in core markets.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into products.
• Drive innovation by staying updated on industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Extensive and equivalent industry experience will be strongly considered in lieu of a Master's or Ph.D.
• 15+ years of experience in a technology-focused field.
• Proven track record of leading advanced R&D, innovation, or product development teams.
