[Hiring] Principal AI/ML Engineer @IntelliPro Group Inc.

Role Description

We are looking for a Principal AI/ML Engineer with deep technical expertise in large-scale systems, machine learning, and AI infrastructure. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of a foundational ML platform that supports our business needs across fraud detection, telematics, and other data-driven applications. This role requires a technically hands-on leader with strong software engineering skills, proven experience in ML/AI systems, and the ability to provide strategic thought leadership while guiding engineering teams.

• Lead the development of our AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and implement platform architecture for AI/ML model development, training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with Data Science, ML Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions that support fraud detection, telematics, and analytics use cases.
• Drive technical vision and strategy for AI/ML, balancing near-term execution with long-term innovation.
• Collaborate with security, SRE, and LOB engineering teams to ensure secure, high-performance integration of AI/ML platforms.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance across engineering teams, upholding best practices, strong engineering principles, and continuous improvement.
• Represent us externally as a thought leader in AI/ML, including conferences and industry forums.
• Establish clear, measurable quality goals and ensure accountability for achieving them through data-driven OKRs.
• Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate and integrate complementary technologies.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of large-scale software design and development experience.
• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience building supervised and unsupervised ML models; reinforcement learning and LLM experience are a plus.
• Expertise in distributed computing frameworks (Ray, Spark) and containerization/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and services such as S3, EMR, and Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, CI/CD automation, and production-grade ML lifecycle management.
• Strong background in big data and large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with SageMaker is a plus.
• Proven leadership in building and guiding engineering teams, fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to address complex challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and align stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• Knowledge of payments and risk systems is a plus.
