Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Apps Cloud Solution Architect โ Cloud & AI to join our Federal organization. This role requires deep technical expertise across Azure workloads, specifically with AI, Foundry, application services, and GitHub Copilot, and a passion for helping enterprise customers solve complex challenges and accelerate their digital transformation. This Cloud Solution Architect will work with the customerโs architects, developers, and IT staff to:

Build new AI-infused applications hosted on Azure.

Modernize existing Azure applications.

Migrate applications to Azure and enhance them with AI.
Responsibilities

Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies, ensuring proven practices and patterns are followed.

Guides complex customers/partners towards well-architected solutions to increase retention and expansion opportunities.

Proactively identifies and anticipates new cross-solution opportunities for Consumption, Usage & Unified expansion.

Anticipates, identifies, escalates, and mitigates blockers using appropriate tools and processes.

Operates according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages.

Proactively identifies and translates customer/partner problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft product and platform strategy.

Builds relationships with technical decision makers and provides direction to them.

Acts as the voice of the customer/partner, sharing ideas, feedback, insights, and success stories.

Identifies and prioritizes opportunities aligned with revenue goals and orchestrates the growth of the solution utilization pipeline with partners.

Leverages market insights to assist leadership in identifying relevant areas for up-skilling and/or accreditations.

Builds trusted relationships with IT executives and business leaders to shape their Cloud and AI strategy.

Leads architectural design sessions and guides the implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.

Accelerates Azure consumption and customer outcomes by developing repeatable intellectual property (IP).

Contributes to Microsoftโs technical community by mentoring peers and sharing insights.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
Requirements

This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.

This role will require access to information controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies OR Master's Degree in related field AND 8+ years experience.

6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role.

6+ years experience leading technical projects.

Comfort and actively uses code/script generation tools like GitHub Copilot.

Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year.

In specific locations, the base pay range is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
