Role Description
Vontier is seeking a hands-on Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Leader to help build and lead the execution of Vontier’s digital innovation and AI strategy across the organization. This leader will be responsible for working across business units and cross-functionally to develop and deploy AI and industrial software solutions that drive productivity, automation, and sustainability across our connected mobility ecosystem.
Reporting to the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer, you will:

Define and execute a rapid, measurable AI roadmap.

Manage a pipeline of ideas.

Move pilots to production in distributed manufacturing and field environments.

Build an AI Center of Excellence that partners with product, operations, IT/OT, and commercial teams to deliver clear business outcomes.

Lead a team of innovators and a virtual team of experts across the company.

Partner with Vontier’s strategic business units to deliver AI solutions and digital innovation to the market.

Leverage AI to transform Vontier’s operations.

This role will act as the subject matter expert for digital innovation and AI across the company and will help define and communicate Vontier’s vision and strategy in this space.
Qualifications

10+ years of relevant senior leadership experience and a proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML solutions into production in a Software / Hardware environment (industrial software preferred).

Experience building, leading, or scaling an Innovation Group / Center of Excellence.

Experience defining and building a scalable innovation process that can be implemented across the organization.

Strong program delivery skills: roadmap development, cross-functional governance, vendor management, budget ownership.

Excellent stakeholder management, change management, and influencing skills.

Direct experience with AI/ML model development & productization, MLOps, data engineering, model validation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

Technical familiarity with cloud and edge architectures and integration of AI with OT/IT systems.

Demonstrated implementations that integrate software with hardware/controls and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Practical understanding of security, compliance, and data governance for industrial and customer systems.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Ability and willingness to travel to sites as required.
Requirements

Experience with customer-facing platforms and payment processing integrated with operational systems.

Experience scaling solutions across multi-site, multi-country deployments.

Familiarity with technology & vendor ecosystems for industrial AI.

Demonstrated history of building reusable playbooks, architecture patterns, and acceleration assets for rapid deployment.

Experience communicating innovation and AI strategies with board members, externally and with customers.

Base compensation range of $175,000 to $230,000 per annum.
