[Hiring] Data Scientist @Lighthouse

Role Description

The Hotels Network has joined Lighthouse! As a Data Scientist, you will develop and implement cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques that power our market-leading products. You’ll work across a wide range of ML/AI domains, including:

• User behavior prediction
• NLP
• LLMs
• Computer vision
• Time-series forecasting
• Causal inference

Your work will directly influence key product features used by tens of thousands of hotels and millions of travelers around the world. Examples of projects you’ll work on include:

• Oraculo Product: Build predictive systems to forecast user behavior, enabling personalized experiences and boosting hotel engagement and conversion.
• AI-Driven Web Content Analysis: Leverage NLP to analyze content across 20,000+ hotel websites, providing actionable insights to optimize the user journey.
• AI-Powered Personalization Tools: Use LLMs to launch recommendation engines that automatically configure personalized web tools for each property, maximizing direct booking effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years of industry experience applying machine learning techniques.
• Strong technical skills in Python and core ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch, matplotlib, seaborn, FastAPI).
• Proven experience in end-to-end data science project execution — from ideation and planning to implementation, evaluation, and delivery.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Machine Learning and statistics.
• Hands-on, resourceful, self-motivated, and creative attitude.

Requirements

• Experience with Airflow DAGs, Apache Kafka, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with managing and processing large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, deploying RAGs and agentic workflows in production.
• Understanding of production best practices: code reviews, testing, documentation, and long-term maintenance.
• Master’s Degree in a relevant field is a plus.
