[Hiring] Claude AI & Automation Specialist @Koin Limited

Role Description

The Claude AI & Automation Specialist is a lead-level individual contributor responsible for driving the adoption, implementation, and deep working knowledge of Claude across every function within Koin’s multi-brand e-commerce business. This is a new role created to ensure the business extracts maximum value from AI as a core operational capability.

The primary focus of the role is process automation and workflow building:

• Identifying manual, repetitive, or inefficient processes across the business.
• Designing Claude-powered solutions that save time, reduce cost, and improve output quality.
• Extending across all departments including marketing, operations, finance, customer service, and systems.

Beyond automation, the role carries significant responsibility for upskilling the wider team:

• Designing and delivering training programmes.
• Creating reusable templates and tools.
• Providing hands-on coaching to ensure effective AI usage.

The successful candidate will maintain deep expertise across all Claude surfaces — including Chat, Cowork, and Code — and apply the right tool to the right problem depending on the situation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable deep expertise with Claude across all surfaces including Chat, Cowork, and Code.
• Proven track record of using AI to automate business processes and deliver measurable efficiency gains.
• Strong prompt engineering skills with the ability to design, test, and iterate on complex prompts for diverse use cases.
• Experience designing and building agent-based workflows including sub-agents and orchestration agents.
• Experience training and upskilling non-technical team members in AI tools and workflows.
• Comfortable with light coding including working with APIs (REST, webhooks, OAuth), JSON, and basic scripting (e.g. Python or JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of workflow automation concepts including triggers, conditions, data mapping, and error handling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex processes into automatable steps.
• A natural problem-solving mindset with genuine excitement for new technology, systems, and logic.
• Strong written and spoken English with the ability to create clear documentation and training materials.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and AI capabilities to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-directed and structured working style, able to manage workload independently in a remote environment aligned with UK business hours.
• Naturally curious with a bias toward continuous improvement and staying ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Requirements

• Experience with automation platforms such as Make, n8n, Zapier, or similar workflow tools (desirable but not essential).
• Familiarity with other AI platforms and models (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity) and the ability to compare capabilities objectively (desirable but not essential).
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify (desirable but not essential).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite (desirable but not essential).
• Experience with iPaaS or middleware platforms for system integration (desirable but not essential).
• Understanding of e-commerce operations including order management, inventory, and customer lifecycle (desirable but not essential).
• Experience working in or with D2C or multi-brand retail businesses (desirable but not essential).
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI integration standards (desirable but not essential).
• Experience building or managing Claude Projects, custom skills, or agent (desirable but not essential).
