[Hiring] AI Forward Deployed Engineer Intern @Intermedia Intelligent Communications

Role Description

Intermedia’s AI Center of Excellence (CoE) is helping teams across the company explore and adopt AI to improve how work gets done. We are looking for an AI Forward Deployed Engineer Intern to support this effort by helping prototype AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows.

In this role, you will work closely with business and technology teams and AI practitioners to:

• Experiment with new ideas and support pilot projects.
• Help translate real-world business challenges into practical AI solutions.
• Assist with building lightweight prototypes, testing generative AI workflows, and improving internal knowledge systems and documentation.

This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems with technology, is curious about how AI can improve business operations, and wants hands-on experience working with modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and automation platforms.

You will gain exposure to real-world AI use cases in areas such as:

• Workflow automation
• Knowledge management
• Internal tools
• Process improvement

This is a remote-first internship based in the United States with collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in any field of study.
• An interest or background in technology, data, or analytical topics.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, generative AI, or automation technologies.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to experiment with new technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ability to break down problems and think about how processes can be improved.

Bonus Experience (Preferred but Not Required)

• Exposure to APIs, automation tools, or workflow platforms.
• Basic experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• Experience using tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, or SharePoint.
• Experience working on small projects involving data analysis, automation, or AI experimentation.
• Interest in prompt engineering, AI governance, or responsible AI practices.
• Experience contributing to technical documentation or knowledge bases.
