[Hiring] Manager MDU - Account Management & Business Support @TDS

Role Description

The Manager MDU - Account Management & Business Support role is responsible for directing the Commercial MDU Business Support and Account Management organizations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and successful execution across the full lifecycle of multifamily (MDU) customer relationships. The position provides strategic leadership, coaching, and operational oversight for MDU Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, Project Consultants, and Senior Project Consultants.

• Lead and develop the MDU Account Management team responsible for subscriber growth, account support, move-ins, unit turnover, contract renewals, and customer satisfaction within assigned properties.
• Coach, mentor, and manage team performance to achieve business objectives and develop core competencies.
• Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
• Serve as an escalation point for Property Managers and other external partners requiring management support.
• Oversee implementation efforts to ensure timely and successful deployment, upgrades, and activation of MDU properties.
• Monitor implementation performance and communicate operational results and project status to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to support the achievement of customer service, sales support, and operational objectives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve processes, customer experience, and team effectiveness.
• Represent TDS in customer, property management, and industry-facing activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) –OR– 4+ years professional work experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• 5+ years of experience in account management, customer support, sales support, project implementation, telecommunications, or a related business function.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of customer implementation, service delivery, account management, and billing operations processes preferred.
• Experience in telecommunications, broadband, cable, or related industries preferred.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, coaching, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.
