Role Description

Simpson Healthcare, an IQVIA Company, is actively seeking an Associate Director, Client Services, to join our growing team within IQVIA in support of both new & ongoing client relationships.

The Associate Director (AD) is responsible for managing client relationships, delivering projects in alignment with operational excellence standards, and leading the account team. The AD is accountable for growing and nurturing client relationships and ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Client Relations and Brand Management:
    • Establish meaningful, professional relationships with client stakeholders.
    • Ensure Simpson’s brand is properly represented and promoted throughout client interactions.
    • Partner with client stakeholders to develop strategies for desired outcomes.
    • Be a trusted partner that clients see as providing added value.
    • Collaborate with Leadership to identify opportunities for additional services.
    • Attend and ensure success for all key client meetings.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage all projects for assigned clients ensuring deliverables meet operational excellence standards.
    • Ensure effective communication among project team members and third-party vendors.
    • Monitor project progress and identify client requests for changes.
    • Communicate all scope changes to project team members and relevant departments.
    • Prepare, update, and review monthly phasing reports for accuracy.
    • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Maintain working knowledge of managed products and brand strategies.
    • Collaborate with Leadership and Marketing in preparing client pitches and presentations.
    • Ensure full delivery and management of all scoped work.
  • Internal Team Management:
    • Lead by example and enforce adherence to SOPs.
    • Ensure all staff members prepare timesheets weekly.
    • Supervise and train staff members.
    • Align with Leadership on staff growth and development.
    • Create a positive work environment fostering open communication.
    • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
    • Partner with Leadership in preparation of annual performance reviews.
    • Assign projects to staff based on experience and growth.
    • Identify needed modifications and resources for team effectiveness.
  • Organic Business Growth:
    • Lead drafting of SOWs and budgets ensuring accuracy and alignment with client objectives.
    • Oversee the SOW approval process.
    • Maintain updates to pipeline/POC reports.
    • Lead addendum and termination documentation.
  • Other Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Approve staff timesheets.
    • Prepare weekly timesheet.
    • Manage and attend relevant internal meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in medical communications, healthcare marketing, or scientific agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with emphasis in Marketing, Business, or Science.
  • Strong communicator in written and verbal forms.
  • Previous experience with people management is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Efficient and skilled at using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with Basecamp or similar project management systems is preferred.
  • Extensive skills with web-conferencing tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
  • Curiosity and aptitude for continuous thinking, learning, and collaboration.
  • Ability to travel to meet with stakeholders as necessary (up to 25% of time).

Benefits

  • The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $102,600.00 - $285,600.00.
