Position Overview
The Senior Security Program Managers (Sr. SPM) is an experienced professional who leads extensive portfolios of our strategic client programs, ensuring exceptional delivery and execution of client expectations in-line with contractual requirements. The Sr. Security Program Manager is responsible for ensuring client programs have established delivery teams, program and project plans, maintaining project and program health, and for successful project and program delivery in accordance with scope of work. The Sr. Security Program Manager advocates for the clientās program ensuring expected outcomes and success criteria are achieved. This position is a critical member of our cybersecurity solutions delivery team. Additionally, this role supports the department leadership in meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supports developing the skills and knowledge of other SPMs. Senior SPMs consistently interact with our clientsā executive leadership and board of directors so strong, professional communication skills are required. The ideal candidate thrives, excels, and easily adapts in a fast-paced work environment.Ā

Key Responsibilities
- Expected to manage Enterprise, Strategic, International (ESI) and high Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) accounts.Ā
- May be expected to team and/or manage other SPMs as it pertains to high MRR or ESI accounts.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects and multi-year managed contracts, and report on the key metrics.
- Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Ensure delivery is in-line with scope of contract and client expectations, including budget, resource assignment, and project hours estimates.
- Identify and manage changes through a formal change control process.
- Manage multiple program and project schedules including:
- Expected to manage Enterprise, Strategic, International (ESI) and high Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) accounts.Ā
- May be expected to team and/or manage other SPMs as it pertains to high MRR or ESI accounts.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects and multi-year managed contracts, and report on the key metrics.
- Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Ensure delivery is in-line with scope of contract and client expectations, including budget, resource assignment, and project hours estimates.
- Identify and manage changes through a formal change control process.
- Manage multiple program and project schedules including:
ā¢ Milestones, Deliverables and TimelinesĀ - Lead, coordinate, and plan client facing meetings including:Ā
ā¢ Initialization calls, Status calls, Annual program reviews, Close out calls. - Work collaboratively with multiple service teams and other departments, including business development, finance, solutioning and sales operations.Ā
- Efficiently and effectively leverage project management software for planning, monitoring and controlling, and reporting.
- Serve as primary client contact for customer questions, concerns, status updates, etc.
- Ensure program and project scope are actively managed and maintained.
- Committed to client success and behaviors that drive transformation, success, and long-term retention.
- Demonstrate and share advance knowledge of industry best practices such as Project Management Institute (PMI), techniques, and standards throughout entire project life cycle and with team members.
- Develop an understanding of key industry and cyber regulations (GLBA, DFARS/CMMC, DFS, HIPAA) as well as Deep Seas services and solutions, to enhance communications with experienced cybersecurity professionals both internally and externally.Ā
- Deep understanding of company offerings, their purpose, relationship and how they effectively work together to address/solve client needs.
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity knowledge to include industry trends, competing offerings/approaches and key business drivers.
- Initiate, lead, and contribute to:
ā¢ Process improvement, Mentorship and Development of Junior Resources, Industry updates and knowledge share
ā¢ Program and business planning support - Support department managers as needed administratively and operationally, and serve as a PACE (Proactive, Alignment, Communication, Expected Results) role model for department and company-at-large.
ā¢ Training and Professional Development:
ā¢ Achieve industry certifications as needed to align with department and business objectives.
ā¢ Maintain proficiency and awareness in:
ā¢ Security services, industry trends, tactics, techniques, and process
ā¢ Project Management tools, where applicable
ā¢ Actively participate in our self-directed learning environment by:āÆĀ
ā¢ Demonstrating growth in skill and knowledge developmentāÆĀ
ā¢ Identifying and prioritizing critical task training and professional growth initiatives
ā¢ Partner with Professional Development and Department Managers to develop and deliver internal trainings.Ā
ā¢ Supervisory Responsibility:Ā May have direct reports and/or small teams
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 8+ years' experience as a Program Manager.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Cybersecurity experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Project Management tools such as Mavenlink, Project Plan templates, Roadmap Workbook, presentation materials and Microsoft Teams.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing client relationships.
- Demonstrated history to meet/exceed department KPIs, including:
o Managing to project/program budgets, Profitability, Internal and external feedback
- Proven ability to clearly engage, influence and guide executive and board-level professionals.
- Ability to perform:
- Professional and engaging presentation skills, Critical thinking and strategic problem-solving logicĀ
- Excellent time management skills required, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven Training and coaching experience.
