Job Description

 

Pax2Pay is seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Manager to lead the development and management of our new virtual card products. As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring a superior user experience. Leveraging your expertise in card issuing within the fintech or banking industry, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet market demands and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities

 

Product Strategy and Development

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy for a new payment card, aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to inform product decisions.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch. Define product requirements, prioritise features, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

 

Drive Profitability

  • Develop and execute product strategies to drive profitability and growth, leveraging insights from market analysis and customer feedback.
  • Define pricing strategies, revenue models, and business metrics to maximise product profitability and ROI.

 

Product Roadmap and Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the development and management of the product roadmap, prioritising features and initiatives based on business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to launch and post-launch optimisation.

 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales and finance to drive alignment and ensure successful product delivery. Communicate product updates, gather feedback, and incorporate inputs into the product roadmap.

 

Industry Knowledge and Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the card industry landscape, including the 4 corner model and card scheme rules.
  • Stay abreast of payment regulations in the European Economic Area (EEA) to ensure compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.

 

User Experience and Fraud Management

  • Champion a high-quality user experience by collaborating with design and UX teams to deliver intuitive and user-friendly products.
  • Implement effective fraud management strategies to minimise fraud risk and safeguard customer transactions.

 

Targets:

  • Lead successful product launches with on-time delivery, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide a high level of user experience, driving user satisfaction and retention.
  • Reach targeted product profitability through effective pricing strategies and revenue optimization.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in card issuing within a fintech or banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of payment card products, including card networks, processing systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive mentality with a demonstrated ability to drive product strategy and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of product roadmap and lifecycle management principles.
  • Familiarity with the card industry, including the 4 corner model and card scheme rules.
  • Understanding of payment regulation in the EEA and experience ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of fraud management techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product development from concept to launch.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable product improvements.
