We are looking for a motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software systems, ensuring seamless delivery while maintaining the highest degree of reliability. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with engineers, leaders, and other stakeholders to create and enhance our existing platform to maintain a high degree of trust and reliability; will be responsible for engineering enhancements to existing code bases including internal developed packages, automation scripts, and other operational tool to create a pit of success so reliability / trust is default mode all of developers build on top of.
Some of the main tasks/responsibilities for the role include:
• Collaborate with application teams and other technical staff to ensure applications run reliably in a high-trust software platform
• Design, implement, and manage build automation, operational tooling, and core libraries to enhance our platform's reliability while reducing friction for both operations staff and software delivery teams
• Create and integrate optimal deployment architecture patterns as the default for our software delivery team by closely integrating build/deploy tools to the core software delivery framework
• Help build a pit of success so by default all our microservices inherit unified monitoring, authentication, observability best practices
Job Skills/Requirements
- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
- 3+ years building and operating distributed cloud native applications running in Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Knowledge of modern build and deployment platform running in cloud native environments
- Proficient programming skills in at least one language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, Golang, Rust, JavaScript / TypeScript, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby)
- Experience analyzing runtime diagnostic data like thread dumps, memory dumps, event trace and syslog data
- Experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, or other UI technologies is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL databases and basic query writing
- Familiarity with Git version control and basic CI/CD principles
- Comfortable debugging and building in production
- Experience with using distributed trace and metric based observability tools in a distributed application environment
