A day at Seez in Beirut 9am: It’s Monday morning and David arrives at the office in Beirut, he is greeted by Panda, Malak's havanese dog which stays in the office with her. Nader has brought his favorite coffee and urges David to try a cup, it's delicious. David starts working. Daily standup happens on slack so he posts what he was working on the day before and what he will work on today - little time wasted. He spends the morning going over Pull Requests on github that have already passed CI. 11 am: David is ready to start a new task, he heads on over to Pivotal Tracker, grabs the next story in the sprint and assigns himself. Today he will be adding phone number login to our iOS app, which was implemented successfully on the backend side the week before, giving him a full description of the way it works. 12 am: Oday is terribly hungry and taps David on the shoulder to ask him if he wants to go to the cafeteria for lunch. David spends the next hour eating the meal of the day and getting beat by Talar in ping pong, that sucks :( Better luck next time. 1 pm: Back to work, David spends the next hour with headphones on working in concentration on his task 2 pm: The weekly social call is on, the team logs on Discord to have some light conversation. "How is Dubai? Melted yet?". Andrew proceeds to tell a long story about how much he loves his dog and the new pair of headphones he got. The rest of the day is spent working with little interruptions and a few direct messages about X feature and possibly a slack call by Mikkel to coordinate work in next sprint which starts on wednesday. David leaves when he is finished with his work Now, a part from our other office spaces in Dubai JLT, Beirut BDD and Copenhagen Founders house. We currently have two rockstar engineers in Berlin and Lyon.
