Reporting directly to the CIO through the Infrastructure Team, the lead network engineer leads technical work groups and/or functions as a technical expert. They are responsible for resolving and making decisions on complex and high-risk issues. This role performs the research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of infrastructure systems to meet current and future user requirements. This role includes working with service, integrator, and cloud service providers to modify and maintain existing systems to address changes in business processes. The lead network engineer will ensure service providers and integrators achieve contracted service delivery outcomes. They will be responsible for designing efficient and optimal networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.
