[Hiring] Reservations & Inventory Assistant @Legends EOR

Role Description

The Reservations & Inventory Assistant will work as part of the availability desk while supporting the FIT team. The role involves:

• Keeping client extranets updated with availability.
• Managing the in-house allocation system.
• Entering FIT bookings into reservation systems.
• Processing booking cancellations and amendments.
• Managing and maintaining information accurately within client data files.
• Assisting the accounts department in pursuing late payments when necessary.
• Demonstrating flexibility and undertaking reasonable tasks requested by the company.
• Covering approximately two hours on Saturday and Sunday, at most once every three weeks.
• Managing the emergency phone for an entire week, at most once every three weeks.

Qualifications

• Basic experience in travel reservations with a hotel group or tour operator is preferable.
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Italian, French or Spanish would be advantageous but is not required.
• Understanding of allocation and Freesale concepts is preferable.
• Previous experience making hotel reservations is preferable but not necessary.
• Computer literate with experience using a PC and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good telephone manner and liaison skills.
• Self-motivated and dedicated, with the ability to communicate across departments and keep team interests at the core.
• Extremely motivated with a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to anticipate issues and resolve them.
• Good understanding of percentages and gross versus net rates.
