Role Description

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain and procurement process. You will work closely with our Purchasing Manager to ensure that our inventory is well-stocked, orders are placed on time, and the production process runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders for products and materials
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing and terms
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information
• Assist in assessing and selecting potential suppliers for new products
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials for production
• Conduct price comparisons and analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Track and report on key performance metrics to ensure efficient purchasing process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems is a plus
