[Hiring] Coordinator - Supply Chain Data @TDS

Role Description

In the Coordinator - Supply Chain Data role, you will be responsible for collaborative activities with internal and external sources as well as analysis, reporting and review, such as creating and maintaining vendor master records in ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, while mitigating fraud risks and ensuring compliance with SOX, IRS and other regulatory requirements pertinent to the procure-to-pay process. You will create and maintain article master records and the overall electronic catalog used by the TDS Enterprise for procurement. This role coordinates with key stakeholders for standardizing equipment wherever possible and serves as a liaison between other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP master data management, including vendor master data and material (article) master records.
• Provide guidance and feedback related to master data strategy, incorporating best practices to data standards.
• Responsible for the creation, maintenance, documentation, and governance of vendor and master data, as well as developing and delivering training as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, Internal Audit, Strategic Sourcing, and Accounts Payable to manage master data records – vendor and article – in SAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX), IRS, etc.
• Research, troubleshoot, and assist in resolving problems related to the procure-to-pay processes related to vendor and article master data activities.
• Stay up-to-date on various regulatory and GAAP requirements to help ensure that Procurement policies and procedures are compliant.
• Point of contact for system issues and updates, such as SAP, ELFS, PowerBI, and BOBJ related to master data maintenance.
• Maintain proficiency in Purchasing Specialist processes and responsibilities to provide effective back-up coverage when required.
• Conduct reporting and analysis of vendor, purchasing, SAP master data, and article master information; identify trends and metrics; support compliance and procurement initiatives; and participate in special projects, process improvement efforts, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large amounts of data and support problem solving.
• Critical thinking and ability to understand “big picture”, processes, system changes and implications of system changes on existing procure-to-pay activities and departments.
• Understand master data concepts and integration with financial and procurement systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, flexibility, versatility, attention to detail, analytical skills and work with cross functional teams are required.
• Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Customer focus attitude required.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP (Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) system(s) is a plus.
